John Momoh is a Nigerian broadcast journalist and the Chairman and CEO of Channels TV, an independent and multiple award winning 24-hour news and media television channel based in Lagos.

Prior to starting Channels Television, which he founded in 1995, John worked variously as news anchor, senior reporter and senior producer for Nigeria’s National Radio and Television Stations, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and the Nigerian Television AuthorityHe was the former General Secretary of the Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, and former Chairman of the League of Nigerian Broadcasters.  A fellow of Guild of Editors and Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

In December of 2005, John Olatchy Momoh was conferred with the National Honour of “Officer of the Order of the Niger” (OON), by the Nigerian Government.

Originally from Edo state, Mr. Momoh was raised in Lagos by . He is an Alumnus of the University of Lagos where he graduated with a B.Sc in Mass Communication and M.Sc in International Law and Diplomacy. He also attended the prestigious Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School  and bags diplomas from UK's Thompson Foundation and University of Manchester.

He is happily married to Olusola Momoh who is the Vice-President of Channels Television and they are blessed with three children.
